From the Mermaid by Paul Brunton and Brian Abbott

This lavishly illustrated book will show for the first time the complete body of Phillip Parker King's remarkable work between 1817 and 1822. The son of Philip Gidley King, former Governor of New South Wales, Phillip Parker was an accomplished hydrographer and artist in his own right. While charting the coastline around Australia he made numerous other sketches, drawings and paintings along the way. Many of these are the first recorded images made by a European. In many cases, he recorded his contact with the local inhabitants.
Deluxe editions limited to 99 numbered copies
